I think this band has always been underrated. They proved to be original, capable, very addicted to the alternative scene and rock tendencies although the critics didn't grasped the real connotation of a style that was ready to go and ready to affect the whole generation. This music is incorrectly deemed as a gift to teenagers, but that's a misconception about My Chemical Romance because their style is supposed to be listened by a various range of people. Emo also destroys and warps the concept, they're not emo in my opinion, their style draws attention and influence from rock primarily by crossing electronic music, darkwave and the oddest medleys ever. Straightforwardly this all made several bands jealous, someone still strives to look like MCR but the result is highly discussable, I teeter when someone doesn't acknowledge the effort of a great impact band like that because a comparison between MCR and teenagers' heroes can't keep up. That's amiss, it refers to a band toughly identified and proudly devoted to overcome music boundaries, earnestly.
