Never stop.
I grew up near Prof. Joplin's house in Saint Louis. It was very bad neighbourhood and Prof. Joplin's home was in poor repair. I used press my nose against what windows were not boarded up. I started piano at 5. They have fixed up since, but it lacks the charm I knew as a child over 55 years ago.
