I just pick this up as a Slide Guitar.  Set it up and fantastic.  I own 3 Les Paul and 2 335.  Some of you need to get off the rag....great guitar, yes I would prefer not to have the Hologram, but here is the funny thing....I buy a guitar for a purpose and need not a thing on the back of head.  The tuner was dead on and I set up 5 custom tones for my slide options.  I push a button it tunes the guitar in seconds and on to the next song.  I chose this for the P90 as I love this sound for my slide.  I also have a 335 with P90s and they sound amazing.  So try it, it may not be for everyone but it fit a need that I had at this time.  I now get to put my Les back to a lower setup for daily playing.   Oh and the Slim Taper feels great for those of us who like that feel...I have never been able to play a baseball bat.

I just got one of these (sans G-Force!) for $599 plus tax, I'm liking it a lot so far. I was hoping for a yellow but all they had was Cherry and Burst so I went with the former.

NOT a guitar player but now have one of these guitars and have a few questions: It has four dials, not two. It has a plug in and a toggle switch on the front face that are in line with the top two dials. The toggle is closer to the neck than the plug in. It has the same two vertical pieces/sections (like the black ones in the video at the 1:51 mark) and has that metal piece at the left but it appears that the strings go into it instead of over it like the video...AND there is a second vertical piece kind of off kilter to upright...between the silver things the strings go into and the black upright piece (of the two) that is farthest from the neck. It looks like that reddish one in the upper right corner actually. This guitar is woodgrain. The two pieces on the guitar that are like the upright black pieces beneath the strings in the video are not just the black like the one the guy is holding but are surrounded in yellow (???) like the blue and purple ones in the video. Is this worth anything? It has a hard gold Gibson case too.

Is this available without the minitune? Saw a live band a few weeks ago with it and it was awful live kept going out of tune.

People usually play open stringsnotes because they different from fretted notes, it's part of guitar playing and Gibson killed it. My opinion.

Gibson has been a really good brandm monslty known by his classic models, which rocks really well.
With that said... Why so many changes? The models looks odd. I understand about making "affordable" and stuff, but, what difference would be from an old school special model?

Gibson kinda disspointed me since 2015, but still love the classic models.

I don't know much about changing things on guitars, so I feel that I have to ask; can I change the p90's to non-p90's or do I have to cut out more space?

You lost me at "Thin, Slim Taper neck".  Come on Gibson, give us fat rounded profile necks as an option on all models.

They need to go back to the 2008 models that resemble the 59 - 60 Les Paul TV Specials with 2 volume and 2 tone knobs rather than these ultra stripped down versions.

I got one of these and I absolutely hate it... can't get the automatic tuners to work, it's just plain frustrating... I wonder what's wrong with it...

I’m glad I watched this before buying one…or not buying one, in this case

The brass nut wears at alarming rate !

They only great step it seems is that brass adjustable nut. If executed right it will be awesome. Other than that all the guitars are destroyed by that G Force tuner...

No, the hologram is not a "very cool feature", nor is that ridiculous electronic tuner.

I just picked up one for $400 brand new at that price it's a steal Gibson always learns the hard way that guitar aficionados are very slow to change the single fact they chose the dumb looking Lego sharpie script lack of pick guard mother of pear logo wrong contour and the 2 knobs cost Gibson a ton of money in sales ..
