In 1996, I was studying natural sciences in high school, and the professor asked us : Who performs the functions of the mind if the brain malfunctions? So I said, “ the heart.”
The professor smiled, mocking my answer.

Now it is clear to me that my answer was partly correct...

1400 years ago god in quran literally said: (why they don't think with their heart) 🧠

Allah told us in Qur'an in many versus, " Alazi yuwesewisu fi suduri nas" The jinn or the evill or satan whisper in your heart. Not in your mind. Which it indicates Heart is the center of intillegence, the center of thinking and emotion.

interesting as many people mentioned this is in the Quran with very exciplit words, Chapter 22 verse 46 :
أَفَلَمْ يَسِيرُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ فَتَكُونَ لَهُمْ قُلُوبٌ يَعْقِلُونَ بِهَا أَوْ آذَانٌ يَسْمَعُونَ بِهَا ۖ فَإِنَّهَا لَا تَعْمَى الْأَبْصَارُ وَلَٰكِن تَعْمَى الْقُلُوبُ الَّتِي فِي الصُّدُورِ (46)"
translated US English
Why do they not travel in the land so that they should have hearts that help them to understand and ears which can help them hear? As a matter of fact (when going astray) it is not the (physical) eyes that are blind but blind are the hearts which lie in the bosoms.
