About the amount of money going out, There is a limited amount that is supposed to suffice the entire hurricane season. There was a vote in Congress to raise the sum to FEMA, since the hurricanes are more frequent and damaging now, but the (R) congress voted No to that.

If it’s wrong for Trump to politicize disaster relief, it’s also wrong for Kamala Harris to politicize disaster relief by telling reporters how Ron DeSantis won’t answer her calls. He’s been coordinating with Biden, who said he’s doing a “great job.” DeSantis did well enough with Helene relief that he was able to send state resources to help out in other states.
