Day trips from Amsterdam; Edam

It’s only 20 mins by bus from Amsterdam Noord Station (which is 2 metro stops from Amsterdam Centraal Station). Edam is a beautiful example of a quaint town steeped in history here in the Netherlands. Also in Edam an absolute MUST if it's warm and sunny is De Beurs Café/Restaurant, which has outdoor seating along the main canal in Edam.
Just sit with a cold beer and watch the people, ducks, boats - pure tranquility for the soul 😊❤👌
