I didn't have to take a DNA test to find out if I was Rh negative. When you're pregnant it's something the doctors look for.

Interesting. I actually found out I was RH negative in my first pregnancy. Always had to have the rhogam shot at 28 weeks.

And i think it would be better to stay in your blood line to save health issues even if rhogan shots are available it seems to be a difficult issue still for some people.

I’m O Negative I have a lot of relatives that come from Basque. They have the largest concentration of our age negative people. My 15th great grandfather was one of the kings of Navarro. I have found that blood type does help match regions that people are from. I am 0 negative my grandmother is 0 negative my father 0 negative my cousins are negative and my daughter is 0 negative. I believe that 7% of the world is 0 neg. other Rh negative‘s are much less and rare.

Thank you for this. I'm very interested in Rh negative blood factor and it can be difficult to find straight forward information. Looking forward to searching for this in dna.

I am RH A- negative and the video's i have watched are very informative but i would like to find out more about it the traits of a RH A-neg. are so true about what they say but i would like to add one, I never got my wisdom teeth either, i do however have extra rib, extra vertebra , sensitive to light, heat, cold, lower pulse, green eyes, blonde hair, psychic abilities, feelings not belonging here, very empathetic to others feelings, feel there pain, seek authentic truth, people often share personal stories of there life even tho they don't know me, experience strange things as a child, and as a teenager, so with that said is only parts of what have an have experienced, but i am sure there is more to come of this genetic blood type and where it came from, , who i have seen UFO's in my younger days, so there is something to that also, , ,

So what if I'm O negative but I can't receive from other O negative donors? Before I was born my mother was told she was having twins but in the end it was just me and I was born with very unique recessive traits, I believe the medical term is a "chimera." For starters my body/facial hair distribution is different from the left and right sides of my body, you can practically visualize the line of differentiation without having to use a marker if I grew my body hair out...

Molecular cloning and primary structure of the human blood group RhD polypeptide.

The RH (rhesus) blood group locus from RhD-positive donors is composed of two homologous structural genes, one of which encodes the Cc and Ee polypeptides, whereas the other, which is missing in the RhD-negative condition, encodes the D protein that carries the major antigen of the RH system. Recently, different splicing isoforms transcribed from the CcEe gene were isolated.

We report now the characterization of two other Rh clones, RhII and RhXIII, generated by alternative choices for poly(A) addition sites that were identified as the RhD gene transcripts. That these cDNAs represented the RhD messenger and that the previously described Rh clones were derived from the CcEe gene was demonstrated by amplification of RhII/XIII sequences only from D-positive genomes and by cloning and sequencing of D- and CcEe-specific gene fragments.

The predicted translation product of the RhD mRNA is a 417-amino acid protein (M(r) = 45, 500) that exhibited a similar membrane organization with 13 bilayer-spanning domains compared with the polypeptide encoded by the CcEe gene. The D and Cc/Ee polypeptides differ by 36 amino acid substitutions (8.4% divergence), but the NH2- and COOH-terminal regions of the two proteins are well conserved. Similarly, five of the six cysteine residues of the Cc/Ee proteins were conserved in the D protein, including the unique exofacial cysteine, which is critical for antigenic reactivity.

The sequence homology between the Cc/Ee and D proteins supports the concept that the genes encoding these polypeptides have evolved by duplication of a common ancestor gene.

I wish I could understand how I was born O- and later changed to A-. That is without surgery, or blood added from other sources. As well as no illness known for it to happen.
