One should be cautious to whom they tell about all their food and where they store there is a shortage of food there are those that will come and steal for themselves and to senior citizens. They are a easy
My mother in law was walking out of her bank and some thief ran by and grabbed her purse knocking her to the ground. Some elderly man saw this a ran after him hitting him in the legs knocking the guy to the ground, yelling thief so everyone around could hear. Lol he walked with a cane but he had a burst of energy from his anger.

A young man held this guy down until police came and he was but probably was out the next day.
So everyone make sure your food is safe from human predators, food is money in hard times.

One other thing, in 1960 we exported vegetables, now since 2000, we import 80% of our vegetables. I hope that scares the Bejesus out of you. If it doesn't you are just asleep.

I'm in Phoenix AZ, our temps so far have been 107 - 112 daily since end of May (today is 109). Because of our very limited income (social security), we have to depend on the local food bank for our food. Our over 55 mobile home park does not allow us to grow vegetable gardens (only flowers). I was told by a food bank employee that the amount of people they service has tripled in the past couple of months which means food is being rationed at the food bank. The people who had their food stamps cut or down-sized are now running to the food banks. I have been doing food storage since 2017 of rice, dried beans & split peas, dry cereal, powdered milk, peanut butter, and now extra canned food we get. I have been freezing the fresh vegetables we get each month and freezing bread. (My husband says I'm hoarding & I'm not in God's will.) I don't know about the grocery store shelves because we only get things like margarine, salt, etc. every couple of months. If I can afford to, I'm going to start storing margarine in the freezer while it's cheaper. The social security check goes totally to bills (lot rent, utilities, car insurance, gasoline). With God's help, we survive. God does provide for his children. Thank you Jesus!

Debbie-Texas Things are changing weather wise and food. Here in central TX. We had a low of 60 about a week ago, feels nice but husband increasing our wood supply and while we have a good garden on most stuff (cant grow a squash this year?), I'm still planting and harvesting and will continue. Kids and some say aren't you done mom? Going to get what we can because you don't know about next year. Yes were tired but wwe must keep on keeping on. LORD please give us wisdom.

I live in Nebraska. Let me tell you, he is 100% correct. The crops were planted 25 to 40 days late because of never ending rain & floods. Now, the crops that did get planted are at a growing stand still because of temperatures that are 15° to as much as 25° below normal. Add to that, hundreds of thousands of herds of livestock that got swept away & drowned in the flood water, if you think there won't be a food shortage, God help you.

Bingo. They are being stockpiled! The people who didn't suffer so bad during the ammo shortage were reloaders. Who would be the equivalent to that with food? ... Canners and gardeners.

Soil, sod, worms, chicken, goats, fruit trees, vegetable garden, water from different sources (rain collector, water well and utility), food, fuel (firewood, propane (cook, heat, electricity)), ammo and firearms.

So true Mr. Danny. It has begun. My husband and I were talking about this yesterday. It will be a slow start, where people can not see it coming, then when they see, it will be too late. It's the mind of people that everything stays constant, nothing changes. When in fact we live in a world that is always changing. Our generation really hasn't experienced anything 'bad' or really had to even struggle. I think many take that for granted.

Canning 28 qts meals, meat vegetables. Never stop. Butchering all the time then canning. Every day!

I'm a sugarcane and multi crop farmer here in Australia. We haven't had a real winter in our sub tropical climate for the last 5 years.... Perhaps it's getting hotter where we are and colder where you are. We won't have a problem growing plenty of food at this rate as our crops love it.

Agenda 21 or 2030, Common Core, corrupted politics, food, medicine, and it's alot to overcome teaching others about this to steady them for strength is the only "defense" i could even think of so MORE & MANY R PREPARED.

Its a daunting task since so many r NOT currently in that mind or skillset.
