As an owner of the Aputure AL-M9, Iwata GL-01, Aputure AL-MX (disappointed, returned), AND the Iwata Pro GP-01, I can say the Pro version of the light literally blew me away, it outperforms the GL-01 in almost every way imaginable and I'd say it is definitely worth a clear recommendation for its price!

While the Pro is definitely larger and heavier, it still fits well in my small pants pocket, as long as I don't mind dedicating the whole pocket to it.
I have a lengthy review of the light on Amazon Canada's listing for the light if you want to check it out. To put it simply, according to my naked eye, 40% brightness of the pro unit looks the closest to 100% on the non-pro when compared side-by-side.
