It took over 2 years for me to realize how BROKEN this gun is...

The Trespasser Exotic Sidearm is BROKEN when you build into it. It has an 0.33 TTK against any resilience when you get it going. So today I decided to pair it on a Void Hunter Knucklehead Radar Build, although it can really shine with Prismatic Hunter as well. This build allows us to basically have infinite triple arc surge and Devour to let us go on some insane sprees with our Trespasser and totally stomp lobbies in PvP.

I know I'm late, but here's my 2 cents on trespasser: It is extremely underrated. Sidearms haven't been in the best place the entire time I have been playing (starting in 2022, trespasser was my first exotic that I enjoyed). Because sidearms have such drastic damage fall-off in such short ranges, you almost always need a mid-long range weapon to pair them with. That being said, sidearms are near unbeatable in their respective ranges. I agree that adaptive bursts at base arent the greatest, a single damage perk or ttk shifting perk makes these sidearms really easy to snowball with. Trespasser is probably the best at kill chaining because it has the fastest optimal ttk at .33 seconds, and it is fantastic when paired with radiant builds, bakris, empowering rifts (more on this in a bit) and getaway artists. While this build is great, I feel like it has more synergy with warlock with secant filaments. Before prismatic was released, I used secants with child of the old gods and feed the void, allowing you to get the .33 ttk without a surge mod active. Weaken and volatile also helped a lot with this build. Now that prismatic is out, I recommend solipsism with spirit of the filaments and spirit of the claw, while also running facet of dawn for radiant activations. With these builds, trespasser can get its ottk without surge mods AND bring you to max health after every kill. If for some reason you don't have trespasser (please get it by the way, it is entirely worth it for pvp and pve), the vision sidearm with kill clip is the best energy slot alternative, while peacebond is the best kinetic slot alternative. If you don't like adaptive bursts, heavy burst sidearms are able to hit a .47 ttk with roughly the same setup as trespasser and the adaptive bursts (I recommend division and liminal vigil). If you are running bakris with trespasser, use a stasis pulse rifle. With any other trespasser build, I recommend your favorite kinetic slot sniper (a few of you might have a 4/5 shepherd's watch from Banshee from season of the wish (i think)).

100% agree on why void > bakris for sidearms. Personally I love running Frostees on void with sidearm/sniper. When you made the Frostees shatterdive PvE build in season of the witch, I realized just how goated they are for ability uptime.

Bakris is the play here! Whether Revenant or Prismatic it definitely pushes the Trespasser into ridiculous territory!

Prismatic has been AMAZING for tweaking my Bakris Build.
Silence & Squall (Have to for Bakris!) Blink, Duskfield Grenade, Smoke Bomb, Slow Dodge + Clone.
Make sure to use the Fragment that makes Light Abilities do more damage to enemies effected by Darkness Debuffs! Essentially a wombo combo, throw the Duskfield, wait a millisecond & then throw the smoke for a bit of variety in your game play vs Swarm/Smoke or just Bakris to Trespasser/Arc Weapon.

But ideally you want to Blink into an advantageous position, bait someone into pushing then Bakris away slowing them (You can also use smoke with bonus damage from this) then let rip with Trespasser!
A longer range primary is a must really! Stasis Weapons pair with Bakris so think Disparity, Eyasluna, Horror Story, Something New, PSI Hermetic.

It’s probably my favourite side arm in the game. I used to run exclusively the peace bond with max range and RF but rip RF. So the trespasser has become my baby. I tend to run it on void with Gemini jester so if I dodge near someone it flashbangs them and I go invis off it, also if it’s no close enough for the flash to hit them normally they will still lose their radar completely.
