Why not keep the cameras on all shift?

They should activate at the beginning of shift. Run full time until they turn them back in.

My question is this: was the officer involved in this catalyst shooting even en route to a call? Or was he just in the area and got out of his car to create a presence and stumbled upon the alleged suspect? Basically, is this a policy that would not have made a difference in the particular shooting that seemed to be the cause of the policy?
