This is exactly why I let my daughter start wearing makeup at 8 yrs old, and why I will fiercely defend that decision and her right to continue (she's 10 now) with my last breath! She is an artist, always has been! She puts makeup on like an accessory and it is one of her creative outlets! She will remind anyone and everyone that she and they are beautiful *with or without makeup* and it's something that reliably brings joy to her life! I grew up with makeup as something to make me more easily digestible for the rest of the world... to hide or "fix" all my flaws. I had to grow up before I could take back my power and the joy makeup could bring me! She won't have to do that (if I have any say)!

As an autistic person who really wants to get into makeup, you’re my favorite artist but it can just be a bit difficult to practice when i dont get the whole tutorial. I usually don't leave comments at all, but this got me on an almost spiritual level because I relate SO HARD.
I grew up with a very "macho" dad, so me being a little girl I always tried to search for his approval, and this is what led me to (and it hurts so much to admit it) become a pick me.
It wasn't until this year that I became a makeup fan and started to connect with my "feminine side", and once the makeup was on my face, man it just felt right. Now it's so fun to just put on some blush or buy a new lipgloss. It was liberating to say the least.
So yeah, I'm now a makeup lover❤
