Anyone else watch these videos and then keep thinking there are snakes hiding everywhere in and around your house? I live in an area that has lots of rattlesnakes, but live in town and haven't seen any around since moving into town. Now i have nightmares that i moved some with me & they're hiding in unpacked boxes.

My mom said the worst meal she ever cooked was rattlesnake meat, corn tortillas, cooked carrots and room temperature orange Kool-Aid. She was living out in a remote part of the desert and was overdue for a supply run, so those things were pretty much all they had. Apparently sidewinder meat from that part of the desert had an orange tint to it, so Mom called it her "All-Orange Meal."

I used to work at a soup place that occasionally sold a rattlesnake and rabbit stew. I absolutely LOVED that stew, imo it was the best item on the menu by FAR. I've had python jerky, too, but i didn't really care for that.

I want to try snake again, prepared differently/different kinds. I don't think I'd want snake to become a regular part of my diet, though

I have had fried snake pretty tasty if chewy. Except for Water Moccasin which is chewy and fishy tasting. ( part of a field survival exercise in the Everglades ages ago in Civil Air Patrol) 😎

I miss San Diego so much would live there forever if it wasn’t so expensive:( hard to make it as a young man fresh out the military haha
