and I dont watched movies "to a lower standard" if its a bad movie I just fucking leave.

People say the ending made no sense? It made perfect sense! Edith, AKA mama, had her baby taken away from her a century ago wipe she was in a mental hospital. She took the baby back and killed the nun and was chased to the cliff. She wanted to die with her baby so she jumped but it got stuck on a branch and left her falling to her death. She came back as a spirit to fulfill her goal. She saves the two girls from their father, who had killed their mother and was going to kill himself and the girls, and raised them for 5 years. In the end, she loved the girls so much she wanted to die with them, but Victoria wanted to stay with her uncle and his girlfriend. Lily, who loved Edith like she was her real mother, had wanted to stay with her. So Edith jumped off the cliff with Lily in her arms to reenact what had happened a century ago, but instead she got to end with the child she loved as they both died together. When Victoria is crying about Lily's death a butterfly landed on her hand that was the same type of butterfly Edith always had around her to show that Lily was still with her in that way.

I actually did watch the film, before the remake was even in production. I liked it, but honestly didn't find it to be that great. Don't get me wrong, it is cool, it just didn't scare me at all. It sucks because I genuinely wanted to like it, but was left feeling unfulfilled. The way the ghost moved was too over the top for me...it didn't frighten me, it made me laugh and wonder what the fuck they were thinking. Anyway, thought I'd respond to you. At this point, I'm just glad the ads are over

the constant "mama" whispering has irritated me to the point where I just want the movie to be released so I can forget about it. I don't give two craps about this movie...I did want to see it when I initially saw the previews, but this incessant "mama" whispering bullshit ad campaign has made me not want to.

touching shmuching... the ending didn't make sense, it was a FALSE, unjustifiable ending... an in between, i can't make a decision type of deal... but i guess you hold your movies to a lower standard... which is your prerogative.... it just implies some negative things about you, that's all... don't get upset about it

it's my opinion and it's also the as you get older or just see more actually GOOD movies you'll understand what crap this is in contrast

you're in the stage right now of the person who played the ET game on nintendo and thinks it's awesome because you haven't played many other games yet (or whatever is a crappy game)
