winter book haul | non-fiction, in translation, french lit

heyyyy this video is supposed to be a companion to my parisian bookshop tour but it's taking forever to edit so i'm sharing this with you right now! i hope you enjoy this winter book haul :^)
the books i picked up are mostly aligned with my desire to read diversely, read more french literature but also in translation! it's also a reflection of my homework lol.

l'anomalie - hervé le tellier
in the dream house - carmen maria machado

this is my first book haul of 2021 and my first book haul ever so be nice please🥺

just added l'anomalie to my reading list for the year, hadn't heard of it yet in australia so thank u for bringing it to our attention! very cool to hear about what is happening in the french reading scene

Eroticism by Bataille is a great read. Ibsen is good, although Strindberg is more interesting to me. Strindberg’s plays are great. Also, The scripts by Ingmar Bergman is very well written.
