I think the romance genre has become so common and alike that it becomes hard to pick books apart from each other 😂 they kinda all just mush together and it really takes a unique concept or characters with a lot of depth to truly get you invested in the story

I think that's my very most hated trope. When every single issue in a plot can be resolved if people communicated even like 1% of their thoughts or feelings to the other person. It drives me crazy and I scream. Cut the BS and just tell the truth and be happy, rah! haha

Thank you for the feedback. I've DNF 2 books in the past 2 days and my BFF, unlike me, is committed to finishing whenever she starts a book. So you're reasoning behind DNF is appreciated. Happy reading. 🎄📚✨

An amazing author who has 2 Christmas books out that are AMAZING, the romance without the steam, which we love to see it lol I HATE steamy books. The author is Emily Stone and the 2 books are Always in December and The Last Gift. If you haven’t read these do yourself a favor a grab them. I couldn’t put them down. ❤❤❤❤

I truly love and appreciate that you include if there’s spice in the books, it helps me determine if a book is worth reading or not! Just cause I prefer to read books without, or at the very least if it’s minimal. And I just really appreciate the heads up so I don’t go in blind lol

Haley!!! I'm reading Holiday Romance by Catherine Walsh and I think you would love it because of things you've said you like about romance books in the past 😊 It's really cute and christmassy, the spicy chapters are quite short and you can skip them easily. It's short, the romance is pretty realistic and mature in my opinion and is set in the week of Christmas. ❤

you should read icebreaker! it was seriously amazing and it literally has a communication trope. like they don't just have one conversation, it's a continuous effort to communicate their feelings. and they are in college which made it almost unbearable to read romances with people 5 years older than them who act like toddlers.

The only book that i read without the miscommunication trope was Archer’s Voice and it was so perfect to actually see them talking about the problems and trying to find a way to resolve them :) i will always recommend that book !!!

I feel like romances these days are usually one cliche line away from cringey half the time but you definitely give out great recommendations so I’ve started to like them more 😊 thanks for another great vlog ❤

If you’re looking for more Christmas romances. I heard “one day in December” by Josie Silver is really good. And I also read “jingle wars” by R. Holmes which gave all the Christmas vibes you ever want.

Lovelight Farms is the it girl Christmas book of the year for me!! I loved that book I thought it was perfect!
If it were a regular romance I would’ve loved it but I loved it just as much for being a Christmas book. The main character owns a Christmas tree farm and she’s in love with her best friend who she has to fake date for a social media challenge to save the farm. It’s very hallmark but with better banter & more believable chemistry! There’s like some spice but if I remember correctly it was mostly just the “lead up” and the rest was off the page?

Christmas recs- Lovelight Farms by B.K. Borison (some spice), The Bromance Book Club (books 1, 3, and 5 set around Christmas) by Lyssa Kay Adams (some spice), A Cross-Country Christmas by Courtney Walsh (no spice)

If you want a book that actually has healthy communication 😂, The Co-op by Tarah DeWitt
