Good info. I like the replacement blades. Much easier than stopping mid work and sharpen. It’s nice to replace blade and keep moving.

Appreciate the video and your recommendations. I have used several replaceable scalpel style knives and I found that none of them work very well for me. I just prefer a folding lock back knife like a kershaw black horse 2 or buck 110 lite. As long as you use your knife properly and keep it sharpened it should stay sharp enough for a whole season of hunting. Also they make great EDC knives as well and aren’t very expensive. Those replaceable blades add up quick.

Great side by side and situational review/explanation. I love my outdoor edge. Good video.

It’s interesting that you prefer smaller knives too.
When I first started I had big knives. But now I carry a esee 6 as a belt knife and a folding 2 bladed jack knife. For skinning and meat breakdown. Works really well. It maybe has a 3” blade on it.
I have an old hickory butcher knife that stays at home now. Great knife. But it’s too big to use as effectively.
Great info! Especially about the saws.

Good overview! A sharp knife is a must. I’ve seen your sharpener videos before so I know you’ll have a sharp knife. 👍

Nice set of knives. I’ve use a outdoor edge with replacement blades for years last year a good friend made me a fixed blade knife I used as well. For butchering and processing I always use a fillet knife for that

You should try a morakniv. They are absolutely the best knife for the money. Cheap, great ergonomics, very easy to sharpen and holds an edge. I've been carrying a mora eldris hunting lately. It's a little scalpel.

You have a good selection of knives for most needs as all hunters should have. I still like my Buck 110 folder I've had for decades. Now I'm in my late 60s and yes it could be living in the past some but I do like the new replacement blades, like you say dull one dispose one and keep going. Good video, oh just wondering if you have worn your rubber boots Tide Wii or something like it. Maybe a review on how they have held up ???

I have fully processed over 50 animals, from deer to moose, and I have never felt the need for a saw. A knife is more than sufficient.
I prefer scalpel-style knives, but if I had to choose only one knife, it would be a fixed-blade knife, made of stainless steel, with a blade no longer than four inches.
