About the lifetime warranty, I had multiple contacts with Paddletek to confirm what the 'lifetime warranty' covers. Well, the lifetime warranty covers, in one word, "edgeguard." Here's direct quote from their emails as to what is and is not covered under the lifetime warranty. "Loose or damaged edging on a paddle can cause deadness, vibration, and a funny sound. This can be repaired by applying a new edge guard at no charge under the warranty. The handle break is only warrantied for 1 year. Manufacturer defects. Core damage is considered wear and tear, cracks even, the grit is also not covered." So if you are concerned about edgeguard warranty, it is lifetime.

Your brother needs more airtime. He gave a solid review and has a nice delivery.

Would love to see a Mark one (Kinetic) review as well as J2K and Spartus Apollo. Seem like great budget paddles.

It looks really slapstick the way the put the weights in there. Why metal orbs instead of a plate? Or at least encase the weights in something where it wont shake around over time. I think its great that youre opening up the paddle. This is such a value add for your vids.

How do these compare to the Engage Pursuit Pro MX and MX 6.0?

I’m confused, it sounds like the 12.7 is not far from the Gen 3’s in terms of power but the 14.3 is barely hanging with Gen 2’s? I feel like I want the 14.3 but if it’s not elite power then there’s probably better options. Can you clarify?

What were the static weights of the paddles you used to calculate swing weight?

Hey Chris, great review, thank you! I had a chance to play a game with the TKO-CX 12.7 today and REALLY liked it. It had a great, crisp snap off the paddle face. I also felt like my drops and resets were still soft and controlled. Interestingly enough, I drilled a little bit with the TKO-C 14.3 and did not feel like it was as forgiving or responsive. So anyway, if you’ve read this far, quick question, what were the static weights of the TKO-CX paddles you used? I’d be curious if that would correlate to your others specs (swing/twist weight) compared to what John Kew and Braydon from Pickleball Effect etc got. Thanks again, cheers!

The putty at the top right at 2:01 looks like an otter holding onto something 😊

Since sweet spot was an issue on the tko-cx, were you able to improve the sweet spot with lead tape?

I agree on the handle size, the tko-c is just fine for someone with normal hands to get 2 in there.

I actually got the TKO-CX 12.7mm in at 7.8oz and had to add 16g of lead to make it swing the way I wanted. And usually I am very sensitive to a head heavy paddle.

Haha I use the same lead beads for when I go fishing. They’re lead split shot weights 😂

wow this is good stuff. what do you think about the gearbox power paddles? do you have a video on those?

I’m thinking they chose ball instead of a tape/rectangle weight because maybe the “give” or space between the balls inside adds to the swing which gives it a little more oomph.

I have the alw-c 12mm and just got my tko-cx 12 mm. I love them both!

How would you compare ALW C to crbn 2X ? Should I just wait for the new crbn ?

When the ALW-C first came out I got one and since I don't play real tournaments I bought a XTP handle extension. This is an awesome paddle. I suggest if someone does not enter ppa sanctioned events this is a great option to get a little longer handle on a standard paddle. Might be cheating but from what I have seen on the podcast as of late it is expected 😅
