The censorship was way too much, using different OSTs instead of the originals was bad, the dialogues were too cheesy sometimes. 4Kids did not know how to bring anime to the US.

4kids dubbed One Piece was my first introduction to the anime. As a kid, I liked it. Then I discovered the wonders and beauty of Funimation. Looking back, all I can think is...Never again!

I think it's good to note that the reason 4kids did a lot of the censoring was because they wanted their shows to be broadcasted on public access, and in order for them to do that they had to cut out anything related to extreme violence, religion, or other cultures. (The censoring of actual english words is still a strange thing though.)

I wish a different company that wouldn't heavily edit shows would make a channel dedicated to older anime series on Saturday mornings.
