On my most recent cruise aboard the MSC Meraviglia I took advantage of the opportunity to visit the Marketplace buffet and do a complete tour and food review of the venue. Hi Bussman! Thanks for the MSC buffet review. Glad you liked everything you tried on their buffet. I had a very different experience on the same ship just 2 weeks ago. The difference was probably that it was a full ship with over 1000 kids during Easter break. It was a packed mess with no where to sit, lines out the door and the same food choices everyday. It was very repetitive and most of the hot food was cold. If tables were empty, they weren't clean as they didn't have enough staff to keep up with the demand. The pizza was very good for cruise pizza. We found it under baked as you couldn't pick it up without making sure all of the topping didn't roll off, again probably because they were pumping them out like crazy to keep up with the demand. After a couple of days we got tired of it. I don't vlog but IMHO it was a 👎 To let you know we've been on other cruise lines at the same time of year and while there were problems the buffet and the situation was much better. I think that NCL and RC buffets are much better. Again, thank you for your honest and thorough opinion, you have a new subscriber!

The grilled (or roasted) chicken piece looks like dark meat ... dark meat *is* typically quite tender.

The pizza & hola taco restaurant is very good! but the buffet food is not good,
an Italian ship but Asians are making the food and sorry but they cannot possibly master all cultures of food! It’s honestly just bad!
I would travel on MSC again because the balconies are cheap but I had to order room service pizza and it was absolutely delicious! the ice cream at the parlor was different flavors is also worth the money
