#YouCanAdopt Film for National Adoption Week 2022

Показать описание
This film was released for National Adoption Week 2022. The campaign focuses on the theme of identity and explores adopted people’s memories and relationships from before, during, and after they were adopted, and how these make them who they are today.
The campaign will challenge perceptions of modern adoption and show
how important it can be for adopted people to feel connected to their past – for example through physical keepsakes such as letters, photographs, or childhood toys.
The emotional film explores the relationships and memories of four adopted people as they look back through their own ‘memory boxes’ from their lives before and after they were adopted, which have made an impact on their sense of identity.
It also highlights the recent changes to adoption and shows how now we aim to help adopted people know more about their family history. This may include being able to stay in touch with birth relatives or friends (when safe
and supported) and encouraging access to a better quality of information through life story books and later life letters.
