These tiles are are Travertine, which means they naturally have significant holes and pitting on the back of the tiles, which hasn't been filled and honed. Unless they are back-buttered (the adhesive is applied thickly to the back of the tiles, then pushed down firmly so the adhesive fills in the holes on the back of the tiles) the likelihood is that once the tiles start being walked on they will crack. Also once the tiles have been fitted, the tiles should be cleaned and sealed PRIOR to grouting, ensuring no staining occurs from the grout and it's easier to clean the grout residue off. This is best practice that anyone calling themselves a professional tiler should know.

There is nothing quick and easy about it pal and you always back butter natural stone and seal before grouting. This is a prime example of people pedaling tiling products and not having a clue about what they are pedaling!!!. I see this all the time and I can honestly say the worst people to get advice from are the people selling it.
