Top 10 Least Religious States in the United States

Most Religious States:

The American public is becoming less religious. At least by some key measures of what it means to be a religious person to most people.

A recent survey of almost 40K U.S. adults finds that the percentage who say they believe in a higher power, pray daily, and go to church or other religious services have all declined in recent years. As far as people saying they are religious, well that has sort of stayed the same maybe went up a fraction. A lot of millennials are still religious; they just prefer not to get a church or other place of worship involved. They'd rather do it themselves.
Today's video is about the least religious states. A subject that has been requested an ungodly amount of times. This is from the most recent survey from Pew Research.
I was surprised by the numbers and very surprised what the last 3 states were.

Wow I'm shocked, I live in Australia, our weekly church attendance is 7.2%(I looked it up), Amercans are far more religious than Australians.

Religion is not the same as Spirituality. Often, they are polar opposites.

Hawaii surprised me, I live here on the big island and on Sunday morning churches are full and it seems like there is one about every mile

The U.S. has been trending away from religion for decades. Not sure why people are surprised by this continuing trend.

The Wisconsin numbers would go up a lot if you counted the Packers as a religion.

Please do a video on the most religious states. Wisconsin really surprised me. I'm from Illinois and want to move to Wisconsin, and now I don't know what to think!

The lowest percentage for people attending services weekly was 21%. One in five people going to church weekly seems like a lot. If one in five people went to a casino weekly we would look at it a lot differently.

I grew up in an areligious family. It's fascinating watching religious people struggle with their beliefs. Life is a lot easier without that baggage.

It’s not like these stats are new—NH has been the least religious state for a while now.

I had to laugh when I saw my home state of Vermont. Yes, it was originally part of Puritan New England. But New England these days is more like western Europe, it's pretty hard to find someone who is seriously religious. But we do have lots of very pretty old churches!

This list did not surprise me at all. The church really has been dying in the NE states for awhile.

Very interesting video, I must say I was surprised that Oregon didn’t make the list but I reckon Washington state’s numbers are just a fair bit higher?
