It’s not bad the new 1.5 engine. Had a loaner a month ago. It had good torque from 2000 rpm and decent power through the range

It feels a bit more powerful than the 1.33 99PS but the 6th gear doesn't allow to go over 175 km/h while it is possible to reach 190 km/h with the 1.33

When your ODO passes 3.5k, the car becomes noticeably stronger. 5k is the next performance step.

maybee there is a Speed limiter ( 175km/h) installed. Yaris 1.3 87HP vmax 182km/h 1.33 101 HP vmax 186km/h . 170 km/h is to slow for 111 HP

Not bad, I just think there is a potential for more. 1145kg and 111 hp must accelerate to around 200 kph. On last gear engine turns only 5k that gives us 1200 rpm band until redline. It just seems that 5th is too short and 6th is too long a gear. Maybe it has also something to do with aerodynamics, its pretty high car. Until 120 its good, then its a bit underpowered, although no hill ever stopped me to still accelerate, you just need to hold the rpms really high

I just don't understand why Toyota did not offered Yaris with 1.6 (132PS) engine, or even 1.8. That would be enough

I am sad, that the 1.33 is away. I drove a 2016. Had much more rpms. It was a nice drive expierence.
6200 rpm is not enough for a Japanese car. I did not buy him, because he had a very harsh suspension.

Für 111 PS ist er mega mies. Da war der Sierra mit 100 PS von meinem Vater 1000 mal schneller auf Geschwindigkeit und hat einiges mehr an Power gebracht als der yaris hier.

my kia picanto gt 1.0 3 cylinder 100hp turbo is 1.3 secs quicker from 0 to 100 and its a 5 speed.
