Fun tip. My local Walmart has their school supplies out. They have this small, round, hard shell case (labeled for earbuds) that is the perfect size for the Pokémon plus +. It was only about $2-$3. It still vibrates loud but it the case definitely helps tone it down, plus there’s no rave light going off in your pocket or blinding you in the car at night.

It's crazy to know that before Pokemon Go he was doing the whole 'van life' thing and had to stop when his van broke down and he couldn't afford to fix and now he's traveled to Japan 7 times all possible because of his youtube channel about Pokemon Go.

you mentioned the keckleon, but the go++ and other autocatchers also won't see the daily guaranteed spawn, as you can see in your video. it also won't see spawns from snapshots (smeargle etc). probably also important to note that you can turn off either stops or spawns from altering the device. turning of spawn detection allows you to fill your item bag quickly and not have to worry about spinning every stop, which is great for times where you need items more than spawns or when you're in an event and you want to ocus on catching rathe than spinning. turning off gym/stops can be healpful if you're trying to avoid spoinning gyms while you ahve an empty egg slot.

I played PkGo in Tokyo back in April and compared to when I played in Tokyo in 2018, the spawns were about half as high as I remembered. One of the factors that pushed the spawns down was that people would lure up Pokestops at random back in 2018, and folks tend to save those lures for events now. Still the best place to play, though. Can't wait to go back.

I have caught around 3 shinies using the go plus+! you can use the journal to see which pokémon have ran away and even see potential shinies that ran away too.

I visited Shinjuku Gyôen once, but I also was a bit late and the park closes quite early, so I defnitely need to go back there, too.
It's nice to hear the cicadas again. Brings back memories.
I think it's great that you're also exploring the suburbs. To me, not just the big cities are fantastic to visit, but especially the more calm areas, too.
The suburbs and smaller towns in Japan are quite charming and usually full of hidden gems! :)

I use the gotcha evolve and have it constantly running when I'm out at work. By higher catching it increases your shiny ratio. most average 1:500.

The garden is Shinjuku Gyoen - the reference to Shinjuku Gyoen Mae is one of the subway stops nearby. Still, the gardens are a great place for pokemon and stops.
