Based on this chapter, I learned about Ethical and Social Issues in Information System. This chapter discuss about the ethical, social, and practical issues raised by information systems. Online profiling is one of the most controversial computer- related ethical, social and political issues today. The information system do not exist in a vacuum and that these concepts are instrumental in understanding the impact of systems and measuring their success.

Thank you for your last lecture today. what can I concluded today is technology can be a double-edged sword. it can be the sources of many benefits but it can also create a new opportunities for invading the privacy, and enabling the reckless use of the information in a variety of decisions . the computer has become a part of our lives. it is unlikely that the issues will become easier as information technology system continue to transform the world. The growth of the Internet and the information economy suggests that all the ethical and social issues we have described will be heightened further as we move into the first digital century.
