The zoo tiger was such a brilliant use of foreshadowing, I nearly cried when it was fulfilled. I assume it is also the same tiger, as I don't know what a tiger would otherwise be doing in the Atlantic ocean.

However, I feel you could have done more emotionally with the betrayal of the tiger/Dracula/dog. Showing them bonding over the anxiety of their circumstances on the boat or bullying French people together on their way through Europe would have really added to the pain of the discovery at the end. Additionally, I think a mournful ballad would have been appropriate for the main character when he discovers the tiger's/Dracula's/dog's betrayal. I think "Devil in Disguise" by Elvis Presley would have had the perfect tone for the situation.

The betrayal... After everything that Jacques did for him as a tiger... Jacques was a really good man. He even choose dialogue to deal with the family of five. A truly ideal man.
