I had the Z1 and now have the Z2 but will NOT be going to the Z3. I'm happy with the Z2.

I'm glad they didn't put in a Quad HD display. It drains the battery a lot more and its just not worth it. 424ppi is more than enough for a Smartphone. The problem is that some people confuse their phone with a gaming console/pc, which it is not supposed to be.

The z3 is actually 2.5GHZ, also they've improved on the contrasts and viewing angles for direct sunlight on the Z3. The camera is improved although it is the same mp. More internal improvements as well as a better constructed build. So I don't think they would just put out the exact same phone.

Feels right at home with Z2 as I made my return to Android recently.. Almost 3 years of having a WP as a daily driver, i honestly think I've made a right choice to opt with Z2 instead of Z3 due to its better battery life, solid specs, premium "heavy" feel, and ofcourse - its signature "WATER/DUST PROOF" which Xperia Z lines were known for.  Z3's nice but no ground-breaking feature to be wow'd about. Plus, with the update on Z2 - it'll have the same features as Z3 not to mention bringing the Playstation 4 support (not that I care about it) lol.  Great review Saf!

Hi there. I've watched a lot of tech reviews and without being too gushing, I like yours a lot. Clear, Concise. Thanks.

You talked, a lot, and fast but I understood every word. This was enhanced with clear text/bullet points. Hands-on is always a bit better, but I'd already seen one like that so it didn't matter.

You mentioned that you have made some physical demos as well and on this evidence, I think they'll be good. I'll check some out now. The processor speed is in question though, because, another review said that there is a slight difference, but I'm inclined to believe you, and not the other. Easy to check although it doesn't matter, I'm going for the bargain this time and we'll wait to see what's out there in 2 years time.

The for great update, I still prefer Z2 because of the better battery, and I think Z2 has something similar to PlayStation play (mentioned as for PlayStation 4 in video) but compatible with PlayStation 3

Nice vid Saf, I think the reason they didn't go with a 2k screen is to be able to have longer battery life, I think this is more important rather than a screen which is slightly better. The fact that they're making constant improvements is a good thing even if I'd like to see more of a difference between the releases. I'm very happy with my Z2 and won't be considering anything until the Z4 releases

I had a Z1 which was pickpocketed, like a month later, my brother bought me the Z2, which was 9 days from now, and I liked it a lot, and yesterday the news of the Z3 just saddened me Aaahhh

Its better to do a new release every year because there will be a noticeably big difference than just slightly improving every 6 months

I do like some of the features the Z3 and Z2 offer like 4K video recording, double tap screen unlock, stereo speakers and some small additions. But I still don't think there is a big enough improvement to move me off my Z1 just yet.

There are two variants in Xperia z2, for 3g and 4g supports. go for D6503 for 4g and D6502 that supports 3GG only

And one thing I want to ask does the Z3 has notification lights like the Z2?

how about 4k video overheating issue? any fix on Z2? or it can't be fix due to hardware chipset overheat!

every 6 months is too quick, the z3 is the best example for that. there is no real improvement.
