Fluorescent Photography: Sci-Fi Vibes

Fluorescent bulbs emit an unusual light that often gives skin a greenish tinge. Normally, that’s bad news.

But when you’re taking a sci-fi-style shot and your subject is playing the part of an android, that unnatural light turns out to be perfect!

So how did I get those bars of light to hover around the model? How many other hidden lights were in play? What ISO and aperture did I shoot with? And how much post-production was involved?

Nice. I did a shoot a while ago with a DJ from Montreal where I used fluorescent tubes. Black light and blue tubes.
