Great video! I've been struggling with my DAX optimizations, and I've started using DAX studio to try and debug. This video does explain, in a very charismatic way, how to better understand my Server Timing stats. Thanks a lot!

Of all the explanations I saw about FE and SE, that was the funniest.

Very useful information in this video. It makes me think a lot about how the formulas were done into the models. Thank you.

PD. I don't know what you did, but now your videos sound louder. Thank you.

That was hysterical 😂. I'm not usually laughing while learning. I think this may be my favorite video so far. And actually, I never did understand why the sqlbi guys are always making a fuss over storage engine and formula engine. Makes sense now - thanks!

Does that means that my pbi desktop query will run faster if I have more threads on my CPU? I find that pbi desktop takes some time whenever I click on create measure. It is not instant. I have many measures in my report

Nice explanation.... Involving FE in every SE operation is called CallBack operation and it is very bad practice. So it is better to push the evaluation toward SE and make FE at the end of the Query Plan
