I used to try turning any vocal tics into a cough or clear my throat after, but A. That hurts your throat after a while, and B. Not a great idea once COVID became a thing lol

Sending you so much love, I appreciate your videos so much. Even though I don't have touretts myself, the information you provide helps everyone become more accepting and knowledgable of people who do struggle with these things.

Oh, your poor little squeeks. 😢 you're adorable sweety, and sure people are gonna stare and judge, but people are far more understanding now. My adhd drags me down all the time, and im constantly scared of socializing and i over alnalize everything i say. The anxiety has given me SO many problems over the years. Its hard to feel like you belong sometimes. Im with ya. ❤

I had to stop saying sorry for just being myself. I remember that meditation book called 30 Days to Stop Apologizing by Harper Daniels was helpful.

I didn't know anything about tourette syndrome but with your great videos i am starting getting into the point...
You are awesome, you are doing a great job and of course don't be embarrassed and ashamed about your tics, in my eyes these seems cute!!!!☺️
Don't give a s**t about what careless people think...
The person who cares "investigates".

I have no idea if this helpful but you were my introduction to what a tic (sorry if i didnt spell that right) is. I remember working in my college cafeteria and seeing a younger fellow (they were having school visits) who repeatedly jerked his neck to the side. For about 2 seconds i was concerned but then i remembered your videos and was like "ohhhh hes probably just having a tic and i really shouldn't stair" (i was looking bc concerned). Anyways, the thing i thought might be helpful is that the work youre doing does make a difference. You educated at least one person who then went on to not stair at a stranger and i hope that made his life just the slightest bit easier.

I know I get so anxious in public with my tourette's but thank God I have support in public and I see people on a regular and they understand. And they also know I have encephalitis instead of fnd so they know about my seizures and everything else that comes along with me. So I'm very thankful to have people in public be understanding. Yes, I ran into a fewww BAD APPLES But it's okay! I just try to educate those bad apples and say yo you know what I'm trying to educate you. You don't want to hear it so just go away😂❤

Yeah, I have had ticks whole my life and when I know there's another person around I suppress the unconciously.

I have had motor tics for most of my life. Facial mostly when I was younger.

Now ive gotten older (33) my neck/head, upper body etc is the worst.

My vocal tics are clearing my throat, opening and closing the throat (I can't reaply explain it well) and sniffing.

I do sometimes do silly noises but thats rarer.

I do however say some outrages stuff but i can't tell if thats tics or personality 😂

This might be a dumb question so forgive me but would your tics be different if say you were blindfolded or had ear muffs on?
