Florence Read talks to Asra Nomani.

Education policy rarely tips the electoral scales. But following Glenn Youngkin's shock win in the Virginia governor's race, where education was the top priority for 35% of his supporters, focus has turned towards the American curriculum as a new political battleground.

A group of parents, or 'Mama and Papa Bears', have been particularly vocal in protesting the changes they have witnessed in Virginia schools since the start of the Black Lives Matter movement in 2020. Critical Race Theory, according to these concerned parents, is infiltrating the state system and being taught as fact to children as young as seven. To bring us closer to the views on the ground in Virginia, Florence Read spoke to Wall Street Journal reporter turned anti-CRT activist Asra Nomani.

In today's UnHerdTV, Asra describes the development of the parents' movement in Virginia, why she was dubbed a 'domestic terrorist' and her hopes for the future of American politics:

I have a mixed race family. My toddler was hearing all this at school and really became afraid of the world. She was crying in the car and would say the police are gonna kill us. As a mom, this broke me heart. I befriended a woman who’s husband was a police officer and together, we showed our children that police officers are not there to hurt us. We joined together, out of love, to make a positive impact on a child’s life.

I think Florence has done a good job here. Her questions were clear and to the point and as a result the answers were very informative. This Momma Bear is right on the money with her explanation re Panorama Education. Excellent.

"...I've interviewed the psychologists, and they say very clearly, that it's so important with children to RAISE THEM WITH a STRONG SENSE OF SELF. And that is the best recipe for a healthy adulthood. And so, when you START MESSING WITH a CHILD'S IDENTITY, and starting to call them bad, and not a good deal, or just awful, judgmental ideas, IT'S ABUSE."
- Ms. Asra Nomani, M.A. in International Communication, former "The Wall Street Journal" correspondent and former Georgetown University Professor

What an inspiration leader Ms. Nomani is!
As someone who passionately focused on child development as a psychology major and as a former public school teacher, I absolutely agree with all of her key points.

Additionally, as someone who is also generally "liberal" in political views, I also find it alarming that these so-called "Anti-Racists" have been attempting to politically appropriate the meaning of being socially-tolerant ("progressive" or "liberal") by claiming to be "far left" when they only serve to benefit the divide-and-conquer agenda by the corporatist-elitists who are anything but "left" as well as personally profiteering as gender/race-baiters.

What I found most impactful within the broader society is with regards to her point about the importance of developing "a strong sense of self." Observing people, I realized that this to be the key determinant in adults' ability to make the correct decision in the face of social coercion because those without a strong sense of self totally cave to peer pressure. Having lacked the opportunity, will, or drive to explore then solidify their core principles, these individuals prioritize tribal membership and its dogmatic views over their own beliefs because they lack a firm foundation to stand. This is precisely why so many grown-ups, especially those who are highly educated and should know better considering the factual/procedural knowledge they have attained, have been willfully brainwashed through the garbage logic of Pseudo-Science C0vid Cult and twisted sense of social justice through the Wokism Cult.

I must say, that book is utterly appalling. I find myself so shocked by what school administrations and teachers are forcing in the hands of children... I completely agree with Asra Nomani, that is child abuse.

Go, Asra!!! Grateful for your dedication and hard work. We don't let teachers beat students in schools, and we shouldn't let them teach CRT either.

Stay strong, Mama Bear. Know you are not alone!

So many classic liberals in my area are being "reclassified" socially as far right... just for not agreeing with CRT or forced vaccine mandates (even if these "far-right" folks agree with most everything else).

This woman's reasoning moved me more than any other reasoning I heard this year.
Apparently, being a parent helps feeling deeply against discrimination. <3
