Just before Goodwood SpeedWeek presented by Mastercard, Ferrari handed us the keys to a bunch of Ferraris and told us to do whatever we wanted with them. There was though, a catch. We had a total of four hours with them.

So, we thought we'd film as much as we could with the cars and then bring you a pair of slightly different reviews, sitting down later to explain exactly what the drives were like.

Seán Ward, our Road Test Editor, got the keys to the V8-powered, convertible, Ferrari F8 Spider for a few hours, and then sat down to tell us exactly what he thought, and how Apple Car Play will cost you £2,400 extra...

The F8 lives on, but would you buy the 296 GTB instead now?

Asking where the sound is is clearly trying to pass on to those who do not understand that it is Ferrari's fault for not having the same sound anymore, and for those who are aware of what is happening, they know that this lower engine sound is the fault of the new rules that got a lot worse at Euro 5 and will be even worse from next year at Euro 6! The F8 is an incredible machine, and if anyone who buys it wants the loudest sound, it's very simple, direct exhaust, it has several options on the market that make the F8 sound perfect!

The description, honesty and transparency all atributes for a great compact review.

I'd have a F8 over a SF90 or a 296. It's a finer experience. Especially with some aftermarket exhaust bits.

somewhere Old man Ferrari is smiling, knowing that his company has still figured out a way to Carry on his tradition of insulting and squeezing the last pennies out of their spendthrift customer base. 2500 for CarPlay… LOL
