How to AFK Train up to 25 Minutes in Oldschool Runescape! [OSRS]

You can now AFK for up to 25 minutes in oldschool runescape! Recently jagex has allowed a runelite plugin which can extend your logout timer. So although now you can stay logged in for 25 minutes, is there actually a way to take advantage of this?

The answer is yes there is and they really are some unique methods. Today I am going to be showing you some of my favorite methods i use when I want to afk in runescape.

For the Karam method, you can bank faster using Karamja gloves to the gem mine bank chest and then quest cape/con cape to a fairy ring. As you can wear them you lose no inventory spots

For the Guardians of the Rift method, you only need 150 total points to be qualified as completing the game and getting the runecrafting xp. No need to craft both catalytic and elemental as long as you're not bothered by getting equal reward points and you get 150 total points. for some1 who has mines close to 500k stardust on alot of solo stars.

I can inform you that you can afk from 1h 50 mins up to 2h 15 minutes if you find it as it crashes. And as a solo miner you get the most dust and will be busy for the whole 2h with only a 4 star. Best is ofc to just back to back mine lvl 1 and 2 stars.

For the Karambwan method I did con cape for home tele with a fairy ring and Drakans medallion for bank. Both items you can wear and have unlimited teles (so you dont forget to replace them like a ring of dueling). Cons not cheap but if you have the cape you have it and it's a good tip. Otherwise use the inv slot and bring house tabs. I fished 40k using that method and got 99. Used an alt to cook it so I could do other things. Was easy gains!

25 minute logout timer is actually huge the 5 minute log was a big reason why I didn't bother keeping this on second monitor anymore and took a break

using the pump at blast furnace allows for 25 minutes too, about 12k str xp per h

Other AFK for >5 mins ideas:

1) Blast furnace pump is now 25 minutes of AFK

2) If you don't have 65 fishing, Karambwanji spots move very infrequently, the fish are stackable, and you can use them when you fish Karambwans in the future

3) Guthans against anything that don't lose aggro is as AFK as NMZ, plus you can pick up any good loot off the floor when you check you're still logged in. I often did this for Dark Beast tasks even before the RL update, and just went to do some stuff IRL for 20 minutes. Depending on the monster, Ring of Wealth is a useful addition to pick up coins for you, at the cost of a max hit or two.

4) Churning milk into cheese - I haven't measured AFK time, and this is completely pointless when you can just cook an inventory of almost anything else for more XP per inventory, even if you stand still for several minutes afterwards... but the point is that you *could* AFK it for more than 5 minutes and still be getting XP! Maybe it'll be a useful niche training method for a snowflake account, idk.

5) You can now AFK entire CW games for the tickets (assuming you aren't killed and kicked out of the waiting room), and Trouble Brewing can now be AFK for the entire game once you have earned the maximum* 100 Pieces of Eight per game.
*you can get more than 100 Pieces of Eight, but that requires your team to actually make the rum, and it only gives you 1 Piece of Eight per bottle over the 100 cap, which obviously isn't worth it.

Bonus AFK idea:
6) Fight caves with Justiciar, DFS and a Blood Fury will allow you to AFK the fight caves with auto retaliate until the 360s appear (probably 15-20 minutes if you're not touching the PC the entire time). It may be possible to AFK all the way to Jad with an Ely (instead of DFS) and camping pray mage & piety the entire run, but I can't afford the gear to test it, and you'd still have to drink pots every 2-3 minutes from wave 31 onwards anyway. Possibly useful for lazy pet hunters with GP to burn?

Splashing on mobile on a low lvl monster like imps, chickens, etc, was afk up to the 30 min logout. All you have to do is slightly touch or move the screen every 29 minutes.

for the shooting star, at 99 mining and you find a solo star (which is more common than you think) any t4+ star you can afk for the full 2 hour star cycle

Worth noting that there is a very easy animation stall you can do between GOTR games to make it even more afk.

Stand so you're 2 ticks (4 tiles if you're running) away from the spot, click on it, then click one of the skills in the menu to open up the skill guide right after.

If you timed it right, your character should be standing near the mining spot, and when the minigame starts, the game will close your skill interface, which will cause your character to begin mining. This lets you afk during the time between games as well!

star miners / group stars cc staff member here; have some extra tips.
You can box an NPC such as a rat, spider or goblin in most locations to afk up to 6 hours. Do know that stars disappear every 2 hours after landing. Note that you have to re-click once the star degrades.
You can use your celestial ring / signet for saving up stardust inside of it to prevent it from losing it to a pker when mining them in the wilderness.

Star miners clans tend to ruin the AFK-ness of the shooting star. If one scout catches wind of the star, expect it to be swarmed and the star gets mined within minutes. Definitely scout your own stars and try to solo.

stars on total level worlds (usually 1750+) are almost always super afk, most of the time you'll only get one or two other players mining the star. stars on normal worlds will usually be super crowded and they'll be gone before you know it.

i just splash and put a heavy object on my space bar, ez 6 hours of afk. I start it before i go to work, then logout and login to reset the 6h timer during lunch and easily afk the entire day while i work
