Three found dead at care home and four rushed to hospital after 'gas incident'

Three people have died in a 'major incident' at a care home, police have confirmed.

Four others have been taken to hospital following what is understood to be a suspected gas leak at Gainsborough Care Home in Dorset this morning.

Firefighters and 10 ambulances are among the responders at the scene in Ulwell Road, Swanage.

All of the home residents were evacuated to a nearby church hall.

A witness reported seeing staff "hugging each other and crying".

Dorset Police said it received a report at 7.16am "in relation to three people who had been found deceased" at the care home.

Extrrnely sad but im confused as usually care homes heating systems are as such that residents couldnt affected by a leak its not like a family if four in a small house ther would be at least a dozenbptoberly mire residents.
Im in sheltered housing and we've all got carbon monoxide electric detectors in each flat two smoke alarms in each flat a sprinkler system in each flat fire doors on each flat fire system in building and fire doors throughout uou couldnt be any more safer where i live so very sad for the famslies
