This is such a cool thing to do man. Not many people are so willing to be open and honest about these kind of projects. I for one really appreciate it. It shows you can have success from trying things you really want to do but it’s also like a reality check that it requires so much time and effort.

It's a huge help for developers to see the results of other indie game releases. Hopefully, it will help set more realistic expectations of what indie games sometimes end up making, and maybe even help some people feel less discouraged if their game doesn't make it big. So thank you so much for sharing @bananadev, it is very much appreciated!

Hey Alex, I recently got a new position as a marketing director for a small indie company. I just wanted to let you know that in my research for this role, your video was very informative. Thank you.

I respect how you were very optimistic about the value you gained from making your game despite the sad revenue in comparison to the insane work you've put into the project, and also you still encourage ppl to pursuit the fulltime game dev dream, very awesome person

Big respect for putting all this work. I totally agree with the point that it is not how much you made from developing this game. It is more about how much experience you got and how many doors it opened for you. Good luck:)

An aspiring indie developer from critical here. I appreciate your advice, there’s so many lessons to be learned here. From the little knowledge I have on your stuff, my number one advice is to push more on all areas of marketing/algorithm. You got this man!

I really don't know what to say, your video is really informative, it's from a person who has experience instead of straight from documents.

Truly has to be something you’re passionate about. I respect it. Love everything gaming dev related and follow many dev logs. I would say I don’t have the sheer dedication needed to work on these complex projects without knowing if you’ll make anything.
