Explained | How a year of Taliban rule has changed Afghanistan

On 15th August 2021, the Taliban swept into Kabul. The world would remember the day as one in which the American troops abandoned Afghanistan, leaving behind chaotic scenes at Kabul's international airport with thousands of Afghans desperately attempting to flee the country.
