The G2 OLED is LG’s best 4K OLED TV in 2022. It costs a premium, and it should feel premium in addition to having premium picture quality. The picture is looking good (really, really good), but there are a few things you should know before you buy.

Hey everyone! I fully expect LG to reach out and tell me how I installed the stand incorrectly, but I followed directions and used the hardware included. I can’t be the only one who had/will have this experience. What do you think? Did I get it wrong? Or is the desktop stand just not good? Thanks for watching and let’s push past 950K subs!

I never really took much notice of OLEDS till a friend of mine bought a C1 I was at his house a few times and marvelled over how good the c1 looked. I liked it so much I went out and bought my own c1!

I’ve been watching all of your TV reviews for 7 months, and I find them irreplaceable in shopping for my first TV in 8 years. I was lost at sea until I found your reviews that are understandable, insightful, pragmatic, and specific (and I’m a very compulsive person). Thank you for all of your content and navigating me closer to a purchase.

Kind of related. I just picked myself up a 77 inch C1. The price is too good to ignore now. I appreciate all the videos you do. It really helped me make my decision.

When I was 50 I decided to get the lg 65 c9 oled. Mom needed a new tv so I gave her my Samsung 55 inch tv. It was a big upgrade from her 13 year old 42 inch Vizio tv. It was fantastic going to the lg oled. I love how good it looks and the widescreen bars do not glow from the back light. Star Wars looks in credible in 4K.

My first Oled experience was when it arrived at my home. After seeing all you Oled review to that point I took the plunge and purchase an LG E9 a few years ago and it is my best tech purchase today. And still one of my favourite designs with the screen in glass and integrated sound bar.

As a G1 owner who uses it on a stand, I gotta say, I'm actually glad I bought it last year. The stand on the G2 looks to be a major step back. I'm glad that LG is still iterating on panel brightness years after year, but in the semi-bright room that I have my G1 in, I feel like the brightness is adequate enough in just about everything I watch. No FOMO for me.

My first OLED Tv experience was during Black Friday at Best Buy I saw the 55 inch Sony A1 4K OLED and fell in love with the picture. It was Black Friday so I ended up buying it and I took it home with me that day. Since then, probably 2018, I have been very happy when I watch movies and Netflix with it. Not only was the picture beautiful but the screen acting as the speaker was really nice! Still my main go to Netflix and Dolby Vision tv today!

This is my second Oled TV from LG. I don't and haven't had any problems. LG Oleds are the best!

Agreed, glossy screens definitely have a sort of unlabeled “richness” to them that matte screens do not

I currently have the lg cx oled. Had it for about 2 years 3500+ hours and this tv is amazing. Love playing pc games on it or watching Netflix. Will get another oled for the living room when I get my house.

No doubt, the gloss adds to the quality of screen... I agree. 👍

The first OLED that I saw, was the 65G6V, I think 7 years ago in an electronic store. I was stunned by that slim beast. It was packed with the best tech at that time and had absolutely EVERYTHING (HDMI 2, 3D, 4.2 Sound Speaker, WiFi, USB 3.0, aso) I had to buy this monster and have it still on the wall. Even if it looks a little bit dimmed nowadays.

Reading tech news at my parents (probably 2008) about a 2007 12” Sony OLED XEL-1 and thought it was a fascinating new world so I began to follow something called OLED info. But 10 years LG. Congrats.

I went with my old man to buy a new TV, we were looking at the regular Xioamis, Samsungs, and then we saw the C2 and said wtf (in a positive way) and then could just not get over how good it was.
I ended spending 2x the initial budget but got the 55" C2, no regrets.
I remember how it felt to look at an OLED for the first time

I love how raw he is with the stand being wobbly. When he is revieweing the input ports, you see the entire TV shake while hes lightly putting in the HDMI cord.

First OLED I ever seen is my new C1 55inch I just purchased on a huge EOFY sale for $1895AU dollars, and finally just grabbed an Xbox series X as well.
I can't get over the difference from an xbox 1 to a series x on my is absolutely incredible in HDR....I can see things I never seen before playing COD MW, and watching HDR movies on prime is just so good.
Glad I watched your reviews as it swayed me to get the TV 😀

So glad you mentioned the optional stand! The thing is TERRIBLE all things considered. For such a premium purchase, the stand is overpriced (~$200) and not stable!

I picked up a 77" G2 a week after release from Value Electronics, one of the only places that have them in stock at the time. I have it wall mounted and absolutely love the TV. My previous TV was a 65" LG C9, it's a major upgrade. I have also have a PC hooked to it with an RTX 3090 for gaming and it's brilliant.
