This song is a perfect demonstration on how you play a set with many toms -- rhythmic and melodic. Because he ghosts on the open snare, I can hear the distinction of each tom. Beautiful.

I saw one of the very first kingdom of desire shows in Oslo in 92 when Jeff had just passed. Toto were SO motivated. Played three hours. Best concert I have ever attended and I have been to hundreds of concerts. Missed them in 95, but everyone said it was nothing compared to the 92 show. Less than two hours and band not motivated. Simon wasn’t even on the drums cause of a back issue.

If you're a drummer you should try playing this song to understand how not easy it is, with all those ultra-precise ghost notes and everything else. To add to the brain twister try playing upbeat notes (opposite to the bass drum notes) on the hi-hat with your foot. Simon makes everything look easy, the guy is a monster.

It shows the Phil Collins' influence of the both sides album in 1993 (can't find my way) so 2 years before this song was released and even more because it's Phil who played a lot of songs with the toms only and a lot of drum duets but it's a really great song-drumming played by Simon with this influence or not
