How does the GLN-Manager work?

For those who are reading about the GS1 GLN for the first time, quite simply, it is a globally unique location identifier where the GLN stands for the ‘Global Location Number’  which is issued and maintained by GS1, a not-for-profit organisation and a UN/ECOSOC recognised NGO.  The GS1 GLN is a globally implemented identification key that is used in databases as a reference for location master data.  The GLN-Manager, on the other hand, is a tool that stores the location master data behind the GLN identifier and enables users to share the location master data information via electronic means.

Within the FENIX project, these two GS1 tools have been used in conjunction with the FENIX network and the FENIX connector.
