Green Acres, Petticoat Junction, Beverly Hillbillies were the first Franchise. They were among the first shows to cross-over. Granny appeared on Petticoat and all the casts were on one episode of the Beverly Hillbillies.

I remember when I fist started watching this show when it premiered in 1965, I was 8 and  when Lisa sing "NEEEW YORK is where I'd rather stay!" I thought she said "NOOO YORK....!"

Lennie would you find the unfindable INSTRUMENTAL version of this ? It does exist since here in Italy it was broadcast with no lyrics ( maybe expecting an italian dubbing of the opening credits, that never happened ). Unfortunately the italan tapes of the show are long time gone and lost ( CINITALIA EDIZIONI owned the rights and italian masters and dubbing, but closed down years ago. ). DVDs were not for sale in Italy as the the italian dubbing is mostly lost. 
But an instrumental edition of the nice opening credits could have survived somewhere !
