Matthew 24:32-34
According to New International Version - “Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near. Even so, when you see all these things, you know that it is near, right at the door. Truly I tell you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened'.

According to Amir Tsarfati version - 'Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near. Even so, when THEY see all these things, THEY WILL know that it is near, right at the door. Truly I tell you, THAT generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened'.

Matthew 24:29 says, “Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light...Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then ALL THE TRIBES OF THE EARTH will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And He will send His angels…and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from ONE END OF HEAVEN TO THE OTHER.

32 “Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is NEAR. 33 So you also, when you see ALL THESE THINGS, know that it is NEAR—at the doors! 34 Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place.”

It is NOT the generation that Jesus was speaking to, but rather the generation that begins to see ALL the signs. That generation will NOT pass until all is fulfilled, and the end shall come.

By the way, notice it says, “Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light…” That is the sign that Joel 2:31 says comes right BEFORE the Day of the Lord.

Peter says, “But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up.”

Surely, this did NOT happen in the first century. The Hyper Preterist will say, “This is metaphorical.” Metaphorical for what?

And for the who say the Kingdom came back in the first century, I say, "The Kingdom is NOT here today, so it could NOT have come back in the first century. It MUST be future yet today."
