Adjustable stems are a nice way to support sales. You can adjust them to customers' likings when they test ride bikes. But as soon as the bikes leave the shop nobody has re-adjusted their stem ever. Not to mention that a stem propped straight up looks silly. So you might as well just put on a fixed stem that properly fits you.

I just received an L- Train disk recently. I put a polished adjustable stem on mine and a little more swept back bars. The hydraulic brake lines are very limiting as to how far up you can move the bars. BTW I love this bike!
