I started watercolor during Covid and it really is like a meditation! I still have so much to learn but have improved greatly and started doing my own sketching, line and wash watercolor. It is so much fun a freeing! Enjoy your journey!

I started watercolour painting a year ago and I found it perfect for distracting my mind off work (also a business owner) I signed up to Skillshare and have access to literally hundreds of short courses on watercolour and on many other skills too. Highly recommend as you can do this when and where you want. I watch along on my IPad. Welcome to the club!

Mopping up! I love it, very English. The sponge is for a variety of things including mottled effects, taking off extra water or wetting the page for doing gradations or even backgrounds. I've had the same 3 sponges for 30 years. The Windsor and Newton Cotman range is inexpensive and very good quality and perfect for beginners.
