I started watching this without reading the description thinking it was based on Kristin Hannah's book The Nightingale. There are no words to describe how wrong I was. I've never watched a more uncomfortable yet gripping film. My goodness.

Despite what others say.. this was most definitely NOT a good movie.

The ending was lame.

The main female character "Clair" basically was a coward, and failed to take the opportunity for justice when she had all the chance to do so...

I understand she went through a lot but good grief... what a disappointment she was for striving so hard to make sure she got justice, ONLY TO SEIZE UP AND BECOME A COWARD, when she had all the chance and the right moment. And because of her cowardice, it cost the live of another person.

What a total umsatisfactory and utterly complete disappointment this movie was for me. I wish, wish, wish I never watched it and that somehow I could get my time back.
