I used to go to the Wanamaker's Tulsa Gun Show in Tulsa in late 60s and throughout the 70s. It was an all day affair. Start in the morning and finish in the late afternoon. From civil war muskets to the latest on the market. Absolutely unbelievable. I don't know how big it is now but it was mind blowing the number of guns and tables there were. Of course back them it was all gun related. No aluminum siding or Ginsu knives, only authentic stuff. The number of old collectibles was really fascinating. I haven't been to a gun show in years especially when they started going downhill. They've raised entry prices and diluted the gun stuff.

I have bought a few guns at the SAR West show in PHX in the past. The cost to go is a bit high, but you get to see some of the best assortment of vendors out there. In fact, any of the shows at the fair grounds are really good, but it tends to be $20 for a ticket and $12 to park.

Also, the Nation's gun show in Chantilly was my favorite go to when I was in that area. I do miss those shows.

I can’t believe the Nations Gun Show in Chantilly made the list!! I was just there this past weekend. It was packed the whole weekend. It’s the last gun show before the election so not surprised but it’s always packed anyway. You’ll have to forgive me because I not only buy guns, ammo, magazines etc., but fudge, jam, honey, kitchen knives etc. I attend several times a a year. It really is quite the community event. You run into a lot of people that you never knew were into guns. In the occupied territory that is Northern Virginia, a lot of people keep their beliefs quiet, sadly. Proud to have made the list!!!

We call the Tulsa show by its old name Wanamaker and is open to public for an entrance fee. SHOT Show is not open to public, only industry (gun retailers). NRA show held in conjunction with the annual meetings is also not open to the public, only to NRA members.

Something tells me that none are in Illinois or NY

I go to quite small local shows. I find something special virtually every time. If I have time, which is admittedly rare, I will go back on the second day and do just as well then. You have to be patient and alert. Not all the best bargains are on the tables.

Went to Phoenix show years ago and it was great! Never went to any kind of shows that people were so polite!❤

Can't believe MA has a show...they are probably the strictest state for guns. That state is awful!

Back in the 80's I used to go to Cross Roads of the West gun shows in Pasadena, California. Half a dozen buildings each the size and shape of a jet plane hanger full of weapons with only a little of other items. Couldn't tell you how many tables there were but it would easily be in the thousands. The city of Pasadena banned all gun shows back in 1990 or thereabouts. This was done in response to the Patrick Purdy school shootings.

You could buy and sell virtually anything and yes, that was California, albeit in the past. My favorites, none of which I currently own, used to be Mini 14s, HK 91 and 94s, Uzis and anything else that was semi-auto. AR 15s had a bad reputation back then and in years of going to that show I only saw one for sale. You technically needed an FFL to make any firearm transactions but that was ignored.

You could also advertise them for sale in The Recycler magazine, a penny saver were people advertise anything from cars to washing machines.

There were a few of non firearm related items but not many. I loved the jerky that was sold there with some beer - yes, there was a beer
stand there (you couldn't bring your own). Those were the days where even in California (of the distant past) you had relative freedom.

Now, having a large capacity 22 rimfire mag could land you up to 1 year in jail. I had to get rid of almost everything I had and now I have to rely on an SKS for home protection.

I just want a good gun show where I can find baby socks. I'm a discriminating
I would never have thought that Harrisburg would have made the list. Great.

Will I attended the NRA show. In Dallas. This year. I have been to quite a few of. I went to the last one they had in Dallas. This show did not impress me. Didn't even fill up the entire convention center. There were a lot of vendors and a lot of manufacturers that didn't bother to attend I don't know why. Probably the cost. I quit going to the fort Worth original gun show years ago. Just not worth it cost to much to get in. I do attend the Tulsa show. Probably the best gun show left out there in my opinion the only one that's worth attending

I’ve never been to a gun show because I heard that many of the people selling are there to scam buyers. Is that true?

Stop calling shot show a gun show. If the PUBLIC is not allowed then it is an INDUSTRY show and you peons are not wecome.
