Another great video, Andy!! I’d love it if you would upload the ‘missing’ year of videos here. I don’t Facebook and I’d love to see how you got to where you are on the homestead.

I love seeing the viewer count go up. We need more people like Andy on youtube.

it amazes me how well you just adapt to what needs to take place. I see less and less of that every day, folks seem to just complain about a problem, you walk in see an opportunity and come up with a solution :-) we need more of that in the world.

Hey andy, I know you're not always happy but God damn it when you are happy you are one of the most fun people to watch. I love your sense of humor. I hope it always survives.

Not bad adaptation. Suggestion, spin the splitter the other way so that the anvil on the side away from the pump, so a falling log doesn't damage the hoses

Great ingenuity. My grandfather built the one I have years ago, and it's powered by a Ford pinto engine. I used to tell him all it needed was a steering wheel, and we could drive it to the wood pile, lol

Andy, a 2 stage pump would make a huge difference in the cycle speed. I built my own splitter kit of junk i had laying around as well but the pump and motor is splurged on a little and bought new from Ebay.

I have a splitter from like the 70’s that I repowered with a harbor freight engine. It ain’t fancy or fast, but it’ll split knotty post oak without looking back. Dryer stuff tends to kinda explode into 2 projectiles lol. If I ever part with it, I’ll be more than happy to donate it to you.

Its always a great day when you can cobble random stuff together without spending money and get some work done. Now heres a thought maybe add some quick couplers to the hoses and you have a portable hydraulic power pac to run various items. If you take it a step further find a bigger trailer and mount the portable welder, the hydraulic power pac and a air compressor and you'll have the ultimate work trailer

Love your boy in the bed of the pickup with everything crossed while you tried to start the thing up.

Love it! Another Andy logistical challenge solved by repurposing previously repurposed components... Once it tests out, then you fine tune it. Brings a tear to my eye.

It ain’t ugly if it works. Great job.

Hello Andy with family! With that pump you get a wood split that will split about anything! Low flow rate but hige pressure, hige flow = low pressure. As someone before say in the comments, change pump or look if you can regulate the one you have. ✌️
Bless you all from Sweden. 👍
