This Laptop Was a Junk - First Perfect Laptop Restoration ASMR On Youtube - Upgrade & Test

Reviving the junk Lenovo laptop and turning it into a brand new laptop - upgrade and test - the result is amazing!
Hi everyone, welcome to this video.
In this project, I restored a Lenovo laptop that had been abandoned for years. I bought this laptop for a very low price, and because it had not been used for years, I made some upgrades to it. After I tested the laptop and it was working well, I carefully opened it and did some deep cleaning. Every single inch of this laptop was covered in dust, and I washed every part that I could. The plastic edges of the palm rest and the screen back cover were full of scratches, and I did not want to replace them. So first I used sandpaper grit 400, grit 800, and grit 2000 to remove the scratches and old paint. Then I used RAL 9006 spray color to paint the parts, and the result was so good. Since this laptop had no screen and screen bezel, I bought a used screen and screen bezel at a very lower price, and they worked very well. Also, I bought a new battery for this laptop. For the upgrade section, since I had 4 GB of ram and the laptop had 8 GB of ram on it, I upgraded the ram of this machine to 12 GB. To boost the speed and performance of this laptop, I used a 120 GB SATA SSD, and it helped so much. I did not need an optical drive, so I used a disk caddy to use the 1 TB HDD of the laptop. You need to be careful when you are opening a laptop because you may easily break something, which can cause additional loss. This project took me a long time, but in the end, I was so happy because I turned this dead laptop back to life and it can do daily tasks and some old games. This model can be found with different specifications. I have listed the main specs of the restored laptop down below:

Always great watch. For future restorations, isopropyl alcohol is safe to use on electronics. It has very low conductivity. You'd have to push a lot of electricity through it to make it conductive. Just ensure you use isopropyl alcohol over 90%.

Oh i had the same laptop from 2008 but black, it is core 2 duo, just once backlight strip was repaired with battery replacement, but that thing works still. Never seen better touchpad then lenovo, i have difficulty in other laptops while their owners love them but i ant get satisfied with another brand.

Great job! But I would highly recommend you that you use two of the same ram sticks (capacity and speed). Two different ones can highly affect performance and are most likely worse.

This is a good way to stop a laptop like this becoming e -waste. Refurbishers wouldn't touch it because the time that goes into the restoration is not worth what the laptop will sell for but being able to make and monetise a YouTube video means there's a way to recoup the time spent
