The fault in the design is that the pumping mechanism is connected to the splitting mechanism. If they could isolate the ratchet arm from the splitter, it would work much better.

I'm always on the lookout for firewood tools that work well that are easy to operate. An axe and splitting maul are the two things I've used the most, but because of my situation, I have to consider other options... Taras, any suggestions for wheelchair bound folks?

Its good as a temporary solution if you like to split wood but have some kind of injury that hinders the mobility of your arms, shoulders, wrists, or hands.

It should have some type of adjustable holders on the side of it to hold the logs in place. Overall cool gadget!
