I had a 2018 base wrx from new and sold it with 70k miles in early 2023. The only issue I had was the ac compressor around 50k miles. I loved it and my wife wants an outback in the future. Love a good wagon and the outback is a great platform

I am currently driving my first Subaru, a 23 limited. Other than the roof creak that I'm also experiencing, it's my favorite of all the cars I've owned. I just hope it will be trouble free for 10 more years.

I've noticed that the roof rails creak when it's warm and the vehicle is flexing. Had one set replaced under warranty, but the 2nd set is doing it as well. Maybe the roof rail bolts need to be tightened, but pulling the headliner is a big job...

Nice looking Outback! I bought my ‘18 Forester new, shortly after that it started squeaking, creaking, and rattling. It now has 18 squeaks, creaks, and rattles, from every corner.. it’s extremely disappointing. ✌️😏

I have a 24 Outback Premium. I had a rattle and creak in the headliner too. I got it in the dealer to get checked. It turned out to be the shoulder belt for the middle back seat wasn’t seated correctly. Simple fix. I thought for sure that they would have to tear into the headliner.

Are you serious that 3 years is the longest time you’ve ever owned a vehicle?
WOW 😳
It’s not how much you’ve spent on maintenance, it’s about how much money you’ve lost on buying and turning around in a couple of years that you’ve lost in buying new and turning around and selling or trading it in.
My wife saw a new Toyota Crown SUV AWD Hybrid today.
She Really liked it. But her 2019 Outback has only 38K miles and because we keep our vehicles for Many years and miles before either selling them or donating them to our church before replacing them.

The Crown has the 2.5L 4cyl from the Camry, the eCVT from the Grand Hilander / Cienna.
The interior, suspension is Lexus quality and they’re built in Japan.
They’re basically a Lexus with a Toyota price tag.

I’m still Loving my 23 TRD OR LB.
We have some large areas on our property that I’m really tired of mowing or weed eating so we decided to put down weed barrier and on top of that we decided to put bark for low maintenance.
Sharelle and I were Off Roading earlier this year and came up on an area where a logging company had harvested a Lot of Douglas Fir trees and stripped off the bark. I told her that we discovered where we can get free bark.
Yesterday I hired a couple of guys from our local “Men’s Mission House”, (for men who are living sober and coming off of alcohol and drug addiction) to take them up to load up my TRD of bark.
We made 3 trips, (each trip is about 15 miles round trip). Next Saturday I plan on getting 3-5 more trips to cover the area’s where I’ve laid down the weed barrier.
I’m thankful that we’re able to pay them for their labor and getting the free bark. It’s a Blessing for us and them.
This is the 2nd time I’ve hired them for work around our property.

Bro, you’ve got my email. Y’all need to come up after Thanksgiving. Let us know in advance and we’ll block the days that you want to come up, so you and your wife and baby can stay in our (almost 800 sq ft) 1 bedroom 1 bath, full kitchen, private entrance attached apartment.
From thanksgiving to February 14th Leavenworth has their Christmas lights on for display.
It’ll give y’all a nice place to stay while having fun in Leavenworth, Cashmere or Wenatchee.
Depending on when y’all want to come, you’ll have to put your Subie in X mode just to get up our private road and driveway.
We won’t bug you, unless you want us to tag along on 1 of the days.

9:50 haha. You sound like me, or my own internal monologue. Re' your future vehicle, beware the choice overload hypothesis.

I have a 2024 Outback limited XT and it’s horrible. At least I know what Subaru is all about.

Beware gas mileage on the Outback’s, as they are WAY below the suggested sticker posting.

Black cladding above wheelwells looks like a 5 year old designed it..

You have illegal driver & passenger teinted windows. There is a reason why only the back windows are allowed, but not the front ones.
